The topic boxes offered for this year have been designated E, M or U (Early, Middle or Upper stages).  E boxes are intended for an average Primary 1-3 (we also offer Pre5/P1 themed boxes for a four week loan period), M for Primary 4 and 5 and U for Primary 6 and 7.  Topic boxes are available for loan for a full term.  As the boxes are in short supply, we would be grateful if schools could let us know whenever an individual box is no longer required so that it can be uplifted and reallocated.

Artefact boxes to accompany some of the topic boxes are also available.

Booking system

• A menu of available topics is sent out to the head teacher for circulation to staff. Schools then submit their requests for all terms of the session i.e. August - December, January - March, April - June on the request form attached in the centre of the menu booklet.  Alternatively, a request form can be printed out (click here for pdf version).
• Completed request forms should be faxed to the centre on 0141 943 1688.
• Confirmation will be sent of the topic boxes that we can supply.
• The boxes are delivered to the school during the first week of the term and the head teacher signs a receipt for the number of boxes delivered.
• As we now charge for any lost or missing items we would ask the class teacher to check the contents of the box prior to signing a receipt.  At this stage please do not hesitate to contact Linda Ferrar if there are any problems.
• The boxes will be uplifted from the school at the end of term.

Please note that as the boxes are in short supply, we would be grateful if schools could let us know whenever an individual box is finished with so that it can be uplifted and reallocated throughout the term.
